University of Phoenix Sparks Opportunities to Explore and Incorporate Innovation in Tempe with Opening of New RedFlint Experience Center
PHOENIX, Oct. 23, 2017 — University of Phoenix® has announced the opening of its second RedFlint experience center, located on the University’s Fountainhead Campus in Tempe, Ariz. RedFlint™ is an experiential, hands-on learning environment designed to help upskill Arizonans for 21st Century careers.
Through technology showcases, industry-aligned interactive workshops, skill builders and professional development courses, RedFlint Tempe provides organizations, entrepreneurs and individuals access to resources to educate, incubate and accelerate business ideas to remain relevant and succeed in today’s competitive business environment.
“Introducing companies to new technologies and networking is critical in helping them grow. Businesses don’t always have access to the tools and tech they need and RedFlint provides an opportunity to test-run ideas and learn how to incorporate innovation into business operations,” said Dennis Bonilla, executive dean, College of Information Systems & Technology and School of Business, University of Phoenix. “Showcasing thought leadership, technology and educational platforms and connecting industry-innovators to attendees through interactive presentations and experiential, hands-on courses make RedFlint a vital educational hub for professional development and technology.”
RedFlint offers rotating technology showcases that provide a hands-on experience for visitors to test and explore a variety of real-world applications that demonstrate ways technology can enhance business in some of Arizona’s fastest-growing industries. Available tools include: virtual and augmented reality devices, an interactive cybersecurity platform, data visualization software, lean business startup programs and more.
Also offered at RedFlint are credential workforce training courses from top vendors, such as Salesforce and EC-Council, among others. These non-credit courses provide individuals with an in-depth look at high-demand industry skills that employers have indicated are needed in their workforces. Course participants can earn industry-recognized certificates from the vendors in as little as one week.
